The wait is over and, once again, the 100 best extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) in the world are here according to the prestigious jury of the EVOOLEUM Awards, an international competition that has established itself as a benchmark in the evaluation of EVOO quality.

Year after year, the EVOOLEUM Guide has gained international importance due to its exhaustive evaluation process, bringing together experts from around the world to define which oils stand out for their flavor, aroma, and complexity.

One of the most anticipated awards by AOVE lovers, this edition has
demonstrated that Spain is a powerhouse in the production of high-quality olive oil, being the country that accumulates the most oils in the TOP10.

What are the EVOOLEUM Awards?

Much more than just a mere competition, the EVOOLEUM Awards represent the pinnacle of excellence in the extra virgin olive oil sector. Organized by the Spanish Association of Olive Municipalities (AEMO) and the magazine Mercacei, these awards aim to highlight the exceptional quality of the oils produced worldwide.

Known for their rigor, the jury of the EVOOLEUM Awards is made up of 24 expert tasters from nine countries responsible for evaluating the more than 1,000 samples received, following a strict and transparent protocol.

Oils are valued for their flavor, aroma, complexity, and balance, which ensures that only the best make it to the highly coveted Top 100, as appearing on it is synonymous with prestige and international distinction.

The result of this evaluation process is published in the EVOOLEUM Guide, a reference for both AOVE lovers and chefs and professionals in the sector.
