The Oro del Desierto oil of Lechín variety is an organic extra virgin oil of limited production. A native variety from the southeastern peninsula and difficult to find in the market as it is made from Lechín olives from Granada, characteristic of olive trees from Granada, Murcia, Almería, and Albacete. In this case, the Oro del Desierto Lechín oil is made from olives sourced from the farms "el vicario", "sierra bermeja", and "el cortijillo de las pencas", owned by its producers. Traditional plantations with olive trees between 80 and 250 years old.
From them, one obtains a yellow and golden oil, clean filtered. On the nose, it has a medium-low fruitiness, with aroma of green olives and nuts, with hints of other fruits like apricot at a lower intensity. On the palate, it is smooth and fruity, very balanced with memories of olives and fruits at mid-ripeness, very pleasant. Its bitter taste is almost null and the spiciness is also present, although slightly more noticeable.
