Characteristics of our Bravoleum olive oils
Bravoleum extra virgin olive oil is synonymous with quality. Recognised as one of the five companies with the best cellar in the world, it produces excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oils to be consumed raw or together with other foods, enhancing the flavour of each dish. Bravoleum, from the Hacienda el Palo olive mill, also produces olive oil in 5 litre carafes.
In order to produce quality extra virgin olive oil, its producers harvest the olives at the end of October or beginning of November, an early harvest with optimum ripeness. From the different varieties that are harvested, different extra virgin olive oils are obtained: hojiblanca extra virgin olive oil, picual, arbequina olive oil from Jaén, frantoio olive oil, nevadilllo and hojiblanca. Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil of intense flavour and unequalled aroma. Excellent for raw consumption and a great ally when pairing with other foods as it is an excellent flavour enhancer, enhancing all the nuances.
Why consume Bravoleum extra virgin olive oil?
Bravoleum extra virgin olive oil provides numerous health benefits and is widely used in traditional medicine for its therapeutic properties, which are now recognised by modern science. The particular properties of each oil are determined by the variety of olive from which they come. The Picual extra virgin olive oil variety is synonymous with quality. One of its most important advantages is its stability against oxidation, preserving its attributes for a longer period of time and thus being an excellent natural preservative.
Bravoleum EVOO of the Picual variety has been a finalist in the Alimentos de España Award for Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil Campaign 2020/2021 in the Sweet Green Fruity variety, a prestigious competition organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, as part of its work to promote Spanish agri-food products.

Prices of Bravoleum oils
The price of Bravoleum early harvest extra virgin olive oil is higher due to the complexity of the harvesting process, which is more expensive than oil obtained from riper olives. To produce an early harvest olive oil requires about 12 kilos of olives compared to normal extra virgin olive oil, which requires about 4 kilos of olives. This makes the price of early harvest extra virgin olive oil more expensive, even if it is organic olive oil from Jaén, due to the difficulty of the processes involved. If we add to this a bad harvest due to weather conditions, olive production falls and the price rises.
